Raypak Digital E3T 5.5 KW Heater - 017121

Working great

I replaced a troublesome gas heater with this electric heater. They shipped it the next day and it arrived only a few days later. I had an operation question, and Raypak answered the same day. Very good service from both Hot Tub Warehouse and Raypak. I’m hoping to get long life with this unit my salt water system.

Done with this unit

now on my third heater copper vessel - corroding at the solder joint with the brass header
The water vessel is almost as expensive as the unit itself. Not buying another.

This quote from Raypak is just wrong:
Copper Water Vessel - The Raypak Electric Spa heater has a completely non-ferrous waterway. The cast brass headers are connected with an all copper water tank. This ensures that the spa water only comes in contact with a rust free environment. This helps keeps your spa rust stain free.

11k Raypack

Took some time to plumb it in but no problems. Had to buy two pole GFI breaker. Lowes has it for $65, mounted in a water tight box if anyone asks. Tried it out briefly and could feel the warm water from the spa jets immediately. Will be in there this weekend. By the way, the heater is outside. Does it need a cover? Doesn't appear to be rain tight especially on control panel. RP

Existing replacement.

We have used this heater for our hot tub for the last 10 years and have been satisfied enough to replace it with the same model this year. The heater element had failed and it made financial sense to replace the entire unit. It was an exact fit and was easily accomplished in a couple hours. Works great.

Good reliable heater

2nd one I've bought, other one (on different spa) still going strong 10 yrs later, for a spa why buy anything more expensive and less reliable?

Great for fitmax therapy pool!

I bought this for my fitmax therapy pool and though it took a lot of work and money (had to add a 30 amp line to my house and had to be professionally installed) - it works great and heats well!

good product for the money

Installed in my 16 round above ground pool that would not get above 82 ,in 4 hours it was 85 so the heater works good for me.
