Our new in ground spa came with five jets supplemented with a 1.5 hp air blower. Standard 1” rotating eyeballs were provided. This proved to be very strong and would send gallons of water out of the spa. These rotating massage jets solved the issue of water being tossed out and gave a great massage. Unfortunately the internal Venturi nozzles in the wall are different lengths causing some jets to spin fast and others to barely spin. The bigger issue is these rotating jets have a smaller effective opening causing the air blower to work harder and eventually overheating and stopping. We decided to replace the blower to a 1hp and that worked for a while, but then it also stopped on over temp. I found another version of this jet on Hot Tub Warehouse, the Waterway Rotating Therapy Massage Jet 212-9177. I only purchased a couple to test and found they allow more water and air to come through and spin more freely. Because they are working with three of the CMP jets, I just purchased another three of the Waterway jets to see if they can all be balanced and keep the air blower from over temp shutdown. If were to do it all again, I would purchase five of the Waterway jets.
