Safe-T-Rail - Black - Powder Coated

Ordered the Safe-T-Rail after looking at others and even seeing if a local pipe shop could fabricate one. The rail arrived very quickly and in good condition. Installation was straight forward as my tub has wooden side panels. The only issue during installation was that the pole would not go far enough into the lower bracket to allow the spring-loaded peg to line up with the hole in the bracket. I had to ream about 1/16 inch from the top of the hole. Easily done but should not have been necessary. Once installed, there is slight movement side-to-side - maybe 5 degrees. I will drill a small bolt through the bracket into the pole to secure it. Again, not really difficult but unnecessary. Suggest a redesign where the pole is secured to the bottom with a through bolt.

Easy to install and works great.

This rail uses a spring loaded pin to keep it from twisting when you grab it. One pin is not sufficient. The bar lurches/rotates out of position each time it is held. If they had used two pins, and there is a hole in the bracket for a second pin, this would not happen. They chose to save a nickel and now I have to go to Home depot and purchase a stainless bolt to keep it in position. Disappointing.

Looks good. Easily installed. Sturdy, secure. Great buy. Highly recommend.
