Had a 15+ year old SPA that was running fine till the Pump started to leak. I called everywhere remotely close to San Diego and the cheapest to replace seal was $45 + the seal. I called back and asked How much I would have to bring to Pay in FULL when I drop it off. OMG That got the Real price/warning out in the open. The $45 was a minimum, and if this or that or the other happened there was no limit :-0 Well turns out my Pump was out dated and a Better seal and Impeller came in the Up-Dated Wet-Pump AND The Cost delivered to my door was under $60. My old pump did Not want to come apart So I would have had to replace many parts. Once I gave up on unscrewing the impeller I Ummmmm Removed it. The housing came off easy I cleaned everything up and installed my New Fresh-Up-Dated Pump and it works like a charm . My impeller was kind of brittle and the new one (I was told) flows better. It was NOT a Hard Do-It-Myself Job and I saved likely 75% of bringing to some shop. and SPA Service Co's All said Replace the motor/pump for like $500 installed :-0
