Housing made incorrectly

This housing came with a filter inside and the filter size was correct. Problem was whoever assembled it must have cut the 6" PVC pipe a 1/4" to long therefore the filter wouldn't seal at top and bottom. Calling Waterways was pointless as the tech knew less about their product than I did! I used a couple of large rubber washers to fix the problem myself.
