Hot Tub Warehouse Reviews - Judge Me
I am a mechanic and journeyman carpenter and I dislike electrical and plumbing. Then the wet end seal failed. Had to disconnect everything under the tub and remove the pump and wet end just to know what pump and wet end specs to order, but after that it was much easier trying to work in a small space about the size of a chest cavity. Get some GIANT adjustable wrenches or strap wrenches, always order new gaskets and o-rings, and put food grade silicon on the threads of everything so it is easier to torque the fittings without cacking them. It worked. No leaks. Took many hours, but saved $1000. doing it myself.
The service at Hot Tub Warehouse has been great even though I ordered the wrong part. So far, they delivered the part promptly. We’ll see how the refund process goes. Hoping it is just as prompt and thorough. The system is in place so, I think it should be just fine.
The wet end i purchased fit and works very good no issues. The only problem i might have is that the old wet end had a 310-1110 number on it which told me that it should have been a 1/2 hp pump so I did what was said to do since that part number was no longer available I went up a 1/4 hp to part number 310-1120 which is supposedly a 3/4 hp pump. When I took the old wet end off the motor I noticed that the impeller was twice the size of the new impeller. The new one is very skinny half the width of the old one. And the jets definitely dont seem to push as hard as the old one did with the same motor. The old housing was wider and had more volume. But according to the numbers it should have been smaller. Im going to see if the jet pressure will be sufficient for my needs. Why would the impeller be so small when jumping up in horse power. Is 1/2 hp the right rating on the old wet end? Seems to me it wasn't right. The impeller on the old was about 3/4" thick the new one wasn't even a 1/2" thick. The motor is rated for 1 1/2hp. Did i need to order a higher then 3/4hp like part number 310- 1130 or 310-1140. Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated thank you and thankyou for shipping the one I ordered so fast. Thanks again .
The unit arrived with one of the temperature probes wired backwards, instead of wasting time and shipping it back. I fixed it myself and installed it. It works. But, it wasn't the unit. I thought I was getting. It's not an actual Balboa. It's from a different company, still made in the US but not the actual Balboa part. I thought I was getting not that I'm loyal to any particular brand however, the original part made by Balboa last at 11 years so it makes sense to want the same thing again. When I removed it, I found that there was a spring lodged in there from something else in the Jacuzzi, which is probably would cause the GFI trip so I'm guessing my original one was still good but I didn't notice this until after I had installed the new one so I guess I have a spare.
Order the item needed was quick. The drawback was I had paid for express shipping but it didn’t get here any quicker plus I had the call and talk to someone a few days after ordering to see if it had shipped. I will not waste my money for express shipping again.

Had a little trouble with an order and the people in customer server were very helpful in getting it resolved.
I am a mechanic and journeyman carpenter. When I do plumbing, I buy 3 of everything in every size and return what is left over when the job is done. I bought two different nipples not knowing which is which and I was scared to death trying to thread them in because the thethread descriptions meant nothing to me and my old wet end, and nylon does not behave like metal, and then after 3 hours when the pump and wet head was installed and connected to everything inside something smaller than a human chest cavity, I discovered I had to drill out the bleeder nipple after there was no room to put in a drill or 90 degree adapter, so I ended up drilling a 3/8" hole through plastic by spinning the bit between my fingers. Otherwise it all seemed to go well. but tomorrow we refill the spa and I might change my mind. Wish there were links to DIY tutorials for every aspect of installing these.
Just installed my new pump (E5 Spa Circulation Pump 74427) yesterday. In my case, it was a practically exact replacement for my 2019 Hot Springs Triumph spa. Rather than fiddling with the hose clamps and pump mounting screws, I just took the new pump motor off the inlet/outlet housing, The housing has no moving parts, and the mounting ring was an exact match, so I just swapped in the new motor (and the new O-ring which seals the connection) and left the original housing in place. Way easier than dealing with the hose clamps. I did need to add spade connectors for power and a round connector for the ground wire. 14 gauge blue crimp connectors worked well.
Item worked. Quick shipping
